Biography

Counseling Interests and Approach

People. I am interested in people. I want to listen to each client carefully, understand each client deeply, and effectively show each client that I understand and empathize with them. I want to help each client explore their experiences, their concerns, their struggles, their goodness, their abilities, their strengths, and their understanding to help them work through problems and find answers, self-understanding, strength, progress, healing, fulfillment, peace, and joy. My approach is truly person-centered.  My clinical interests include college adjustment and transitional issues, anxiety and stress management, spirituality and religion, depression, and relationships.

Multicultural Interests

Uniqueness. I believe each person is their own unique being, full of worth and importance, an essential and amazing part of our global family. Each person has their own set of characteristics, goals, desires, history, context, and background. It is important for me to approach each person with cultural humility as I learn about them, their unique life experiences, and current context. I am interested in working with any and all individuals. And I am committed to supporting and advocating for individuals whose culture and life experiences are different from my own.
