Clinical / counseling interests

Given the right conditions and support, I believe in the innate capacity of all individuals for personal growth, healing, and change. To this end, I believe in cultivating a space that enables individuals to feel welcome, confident, and safe. My therapy style is collaborative and strengths-based, person-centered, and integrates evidence-based interventions that include elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction.

My clinical interests include navigating challenges related to adjustment, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, as well as concerns related to college and career.

Multicultural interests

Cultural humility is at the very core of my personal and professional values and is an integral part of my approach to mental health counseling. I acknowledge that this work begins by understanding the ways in which my identities grant me privilege, and with regular reflection on the ways in which I can use my privilege to elevate and empower others. As a person-centered counselor, I am passionate about honoring the unique identities and lived experiences of every individual I work with and strive to create an environment that is safe and welcoming to all.
