Counseling and Clinical Interests

My approach to therapy is largely collaborative. I strive to support clients in exploring their values, finding purpose, and living in alignment with their true selves. Clients and I work together to clarify their unique experiences, the choices they make, and the personal meaning they attach to them. My goal is to support them in cultivating resilience, discovering more fulfilling, authentic ways of living, and achieving their goals. My practice commonly uses a combination of existential/humanistic and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches. I am particularly drawn to supporting concerns specific to LGBTQIA+ and rural individuals and struggles with emotion regulation.

Multicultural Interests

My goal in therapy is to create a safe space where allexperiences and identities, are not only recognized, but valued. I believe people flourish the most when they can be their authentic selves and are valued for who they truly are. This underlies my commitment and attention to cultural humility.

Outreach Interest:

I enjoy doing outreach that makes therapy and mental health information more accessible and obtainable to students and communities. I am especially excited about outreach topics around suicide prevention and helping students navigate distress.
