Hannah Dummer

Clinical Case Manager
Biography

Counseling & Case Management:

I approach both counseling and case management as a collaborative process in which individuals can feel safe to articulate and develop their goals. My aim is to support and empower students in accessing internal and external resources to meet those goals. I use a strengths-based approach and enjoy helping individuals learn to navigate challenging and complex systems such as insurance and behavioral health resources.

Multicultural Interests:

I view cultural competence as a crucial component to the work that I do. Especially given the diverse population The University of Iowa maintains. Additionally, as a Clinical Case Manager, I work to provide services to assist individuals in accessing the overall healthcare system. Striving to understand what this looks and feels like for various students and being willing to advocate for them as needed is another important part of my job.

Outreach Interests:

I enjoy sharing about mindfulness, grounding techniques, and issues related to the impacts of college life on students’ overall well-being. I am excited to share this knowledge regarding healthcare, overall wellbeing, and mental health.
