Mahnoor Ghumman

Clinical Mental Health Counseling Practicum Counselor
Biography

Introduction

I believe meaningful change starts with feeling safe, seen, and supported in the counseling space. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative environment where clients can show up as their full selves, without judgment, and feel understood. My approach is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, and I integrate strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also value helping clients build insight and practical coping tools while staying connected to what matters most to them. I recognize that clients come in with different characteristics, cultural backgrounds, and lived experiences that shape how they see themselves and the world around them. I strive to approach each client with curiosity, cultural humility, and respect, and I aim to create a space where all parts of a client’s story are welcomed.
