Maura Rost
Biography
Introduction
I am committed to creating an affirming and collaborative space where students feel seen, valued, and supported. Guided by a multicultural and feminist perspective, I honor each client’s unique cultures and strengths while exploring the social and contextual factors shaping their experiences. I integrate Multicultural Counseling, Feminist Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches to help students build skills, navigate challenges, and connect with their resilience. I believe the counseling process is a collaborative journey, empowering students to grow with authenticity, acceptance, and their inherent capacity for change.
