The embedded therapy program supports lower barriers to access mental health care, higher visibility through outreach to reduce stigma, and tailored mental health programming. Our embedded therapists work within a specific community or college and have specialized knowledge about the culture and needs of the community being served. Embedded therapists engage directly with their community’s students and their environment through individual and group counseling, consultations, outreach programming, case management, and provide education as a means of caring for the mental health of the overall environment. This includes consultations/trainings with faculty and staff, as well as programming that invites everyone to learn and explore areas and practices of good mental health.
