Counseling Interests

My clinical practice utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance commitment therapy (ACT) principles to meet clients where they are and give them the tools to think differently about themselves and the environment, they find themselves in. I aim to help clients raise their awareness of themselves and how they interact with the world around them. I want to meet individuals where they are and work collaboratively to establish and move towards goals for our work together.

Multicultural interests

As a Black male, I am interested in activities which uplift not only other Black men but also any person who holds marginalized identities. I strive to continue to grow my understanding of those who are different than me, while knowing I can never fully know what another’s experience is like. I seek to create a space of learning and understanding for the betterment of all.

Other Interests

When not working I enjoy watching sports such as football, basketball, and tennis. I also enjoy a good sci-fi book that is set in space. When I can I enjoy traveling and seeing new places. If I am staying at home I like to play video games as well. I have been a PlayStation owner since the PlayStation 2 and I recently have joined the ranks of the PC elite, having built my own gaming computer.
