Program tables were updated on 8/31/23.

Does the program or institution require students, trainees, and/or staff (faculty) to comply with specific policies or practices related to the institution’s affiliation or purpose?

No.

Briefly describe in narrative form important information to assist potential applicants in assessing their likely fit with your program. This description must be consistent with the program’s policies on intern selection and practicum and academic requirements.

We require our trainers and trainees to engage in reflection about how our own identities and values influence our professional practice. Interns receive close supervision, so those seeking that experience will do well. As scientist-practitioners, we place value on process and outcome data and on critical analysis.

Interns who have completed previous counseling center practica are best prepared. Although completion of comprehensive assessment reports is not a firm selection criterion, it is highly desirable.
