The Student Advisory Board (SAB) will consist of 10-12 undergraduate and graduate students from the University of Iowa who will use their experiences as a student to inform and contribute to key initiatives at University Counseling Service (UCS). This year SAB members will specifically assist UCS staff in the following areas: 1. Development of a UCS podcast to promote mental wellness at the University, 2. Decreasing risky alcohol and drug use on campus by working with the Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP), and 3. Decreasing risk of suicide on campus by working with the Suicide Prevention Task Force.
The SAB will meet via Zoom from 3:00-4:00 pm on Friday afternoons each week during the fall 2020 semester. Students may apply for membership in the SAB by filling out the application. Applications due by Friday, September 4th.
