I use an integrative therapy approach that combines Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychotherapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the key factors that facilitate therapeutic change. I aim to provide clients with a safe and affirming therapeutic environment for growth through empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. I believe that people are inherently resilient in the face of adversity. Therefore, part of my goal is to help people cultivate their strengths and utilize their inner resources to overcome challenges and to live a meaningful life. I also enjoy helping clients identify and challenge their irrational beliefs as well as develop more efficient coping strategies.
As an international and first-generation college and graduate student, I am eager to support students with marginalized identities who are going through transitions (e.g. international students), experience oppression, and/or have limited access to mental health resources to work though the barriers that impede them from thriving on campus and help them reach academic and career goals while maintaining mental wellness.
